Because this is a cost-effective, untracked service, delivery times follow Canada Post Lettermail Standards:

• Local delivery: 2 business days

• Within Ontario (Within Province): 3 business days

• National delivery (Across Canada): 4 business days (though it can occasionally take up to 7 business days depending on distance and sorting delays) [1, 2]

At Blunt Force Tango, we are dedicated to providing premium ready-to-press transfers. Every transfer is individually hand-inspected and quality-checked during our repackaging process to ensure flawless print quality, crisp edges, and proper adhesive backing before it leaves our facility.

Because heat transfers require specific application techniques and are permanently bonded to garments, our policy protects both your purchase and our small business by separating verified transit damage from user application errors.

📦 Transit Damage or Inspection Oversights

In the rare event that an item bypasses our strict inspection or is damaged by the carrier during transit, we will gladly issue a replacement or refund:

• Reporting Window: You must report the issue within [e.g., 7 or 14 days] of delivery.

• Evidence Required: Please provide clear photos of the unused, unapplied transfers showing the damage, alongside your order number.

• Covered Issues: Physical creases, tears, or print smudges that occurred prior to application.

🚫 Non-Refundable Situations (User Application Error)

Because every single transfer is verified for quality and condition during repackaging, we cannot offer refunds, reprints, or replacements for transfers that fail during the pressing process. We are not responsible for:

• Incorrect Pressing Settings: Peeling, cracking, or lifting caused by using the incorrect temperature, inadequate pressure, or improper pressing time.

• Improper Peeling Technique: Damage caused by peeling a hot-peel film cold, or a cold-peel film hot.

• Garment & Equipment Issues: Issues arising from uneven heat press platens, pressing over seams/buttons, or applying transfers to non-recommended or heat-sensitive fabrics.

💡 Pro Tip: Because our transfers are fully verified for quality before shipping, we highly recommend using a test strip on a scrap piece of fabric to perfectly dial in your specific heat press settings before proceeding with your final garment.

BFT Hot-Peel Fabric Transfer

Application & Garment Preparation

For best results, apply BFT Hot-Peel Transfers to clean, dry garments using a dedicated heat press.

NEW, NEVER-WASHED GARMENTS

1. Check the garment's care label and fabric compatibility.

2. Ensure the garment is clean and completely dry.

3. Lint-roll the application area.

4. Pre-press for 5–10 seconds to remove moisture and smooth the fabric.

5. Position your BFT transfer and press at 300–315°F (150–157°C) for 10–15 seconds, using firm, even pressure.

6. Hot peel the transfer film while the transfer is still hot.

7. Cover the transfer with parchment or a suitable protective cover sheet and post-press at 300–315°F (150–157°C) for 5–10 seconds, using firm, even pressure.

8. Allow the garment to cool completely before folding or wearing.

PRE-WASHED GARMENTS

For previously washed garments:

• Wash without fabric softener.

• Use an extra rinse where possible.

• Make sure the garment is completely dry.

• Lint-roll the application area.

• Pre-press for 5–10 seconds immediately before applying the transfer.

Previous washing can leave behind detergent, fabric-softener, oils or other residues that may affect adhesion.

🚰 HARD-WATER AREAS

Hard-water minerals and detergent residue can accumulate in fabric over repeated washing and may interfere with transfer adhesion.

For pre-washed garments in hard-water areas:

• Rewash without fabric softener.

• Use an extra rinse.

• If the garment feels stiff or shows signs of mineral or detergent buildup, an additional rinse using softened or distilled water is recommended.

• Dry the garment completely before pressing.

• Pre-press thoroughly to remove remaining moisture.

⚠️ IMPORTANT — ADHESION GUARANTEE

BFT cannot guarantee long-term adhesion when transfers are applied to:

• Customer-supplied used clothing, particularly garments with unknown washing history, fabric treatments, stains, oils, softener or detergent buildup.

• Garments that have been treated with waterproofing, stain-resistant or other surface coatings.

• Items pressed using a household iron rather than a dedicated heat press.

A household iron cannot reliably provide the consistent temperature, pressure and heat distribution required for proper DTF transfer application.

For customer-supplied or previously used garments, we strongly recommend testing the transfer on the garment before completing the final application.

CARE AFTER APPLICATION

Allow the finished garment to cool completely before handling.

For best transfer longevity:

• Wait 24 hours before the first wash.

• Turn the garment inside out.

• Wash in cold or cool water.

• Use a mild detergent.

• Do not use bleach or fabric softener.

• Do not dry clean.

• Tumble dry on low or hang dry.

• Do not iron directly over the transfer.

BFT Tip: When in doubt, test first. Different fabrics, finishes, washing histories and garment conditions can affect transfer adhesion.
